Subject: Tax deduction
I am directed to refer to your letter bearing No.IT(FD)6-16/83 (Vol-III)TT dated 07.06.2017 on the subject noted above and to state that as far as deduction of income tax, G.P. Fund, Group Insurance, Contribution towards Benevolent Fund, etc. etc. from the salary of the employees of Education and Health departments being paid from A/c. No. V and VI respectively, the same procedure is applicable as was adopted in case of A/c. No. IV. Any other operational discrepancy may kindly be clarified from Accountant General Punjab.
