Subject: Surrender of Pension
Will the Section Officer (Personnel-l), Government of the Punjab, Services & General Administration Department please refer to his U.O letter bearing No.SOP-I(S&GAD)1-74/87, dated 23rd November, 2020 on the subject noted above?
2. The case has been examined. It is observed that Ms. Eva Promilla is not eligible for grant of family pension as there is no provision of surrender of Family pension to another family member in the Punjab Civil Services Pension Rules. Hence, Ms. Roqqaya Munshi is entitled for grant of family pension being the eldest surviving unmarried sister till her re-marriage or acquiring a regular source of income whichever is earlier in the light of Rule 4.10(2)(B)(iv) of Punjab Civil Services Pension Rules.
