Extension of Study Leave dt 01.03.2007

Subject: Study Leave
No.FD.SR-1/2-124/06. In exercise of the Powers conferred upon him under Section 23 of the Punjab Civil Servants Act, 1974 (VIII of 1974), the Governor of the Punjab is pleased to direct that Note-1 of Rule 9 of Government of the Punjab Study Leave Rules, 1989 shall, with immediate effect, be substituted with the following.
Note-1.”The period of two years may be extended to four years on the merit of each case for obtaining a Doctorate, subject to the condition that the extension should not be available for scholars who fail to complete the courses within the prescribed time limit.”
