Subject: Special Pay for the Officers
I am directed to refer to this Department’s circular letter No.FD.PR-12-7/83 dated 22.08.1989 and to state that the Competent Authority has been pleased to enhance the rate of Special Pay admissible to Additional Secretary (BS-19) and Deputy Secretary (BS-18) (both working in the Administrative Departments) already being drawn as per above referred letter and sanction Special pay to the incumbents of posts of Section Officer (BS-17) (working in the Administrative Departments), with immediate effect as per following rates:

| Additional Secretary (BS-19) | Rs.300/-P.M. | Equal to one annual increment of the respective pay scale of the post, i.e., BS-19 instead of fixed special pay |
| Deputy Secretary (BS-18) | Rs.225/-P.M. | Equal to one annual increment of the respective pay scale of the post, i.e., BS-18 instead of fixed special pay |
| Section Officer (BS-17) | — | Equal to one annual increment of the respective pay scale of the post, i.e., BS-17 instead of fixed special pay |
