Clarification – 30% Social Security Benefits SSB after revision of basic pay dt 09.08.2016

Kindly refer to your memo No.TM-1/2-3A(IV)/2015-16/4645 dated 31.05.2016 on the subject noted above.
2. Finance Department, vide letter dated 6.10.2011, has already clarified to the Accountant General Punjab and all DAOs, that the contract employees employed against civil posts in Basic Pay Scales on standard terms and conditions of contract appointment under Contract Appointment Policy – 2004 would be entitled to pay as per Revised Basic Pay Scales, 2011 with effect from 1.7.2011 in terms of Para XIII(i)(a) of Contract Appointment Policy – 2004. Moreover, 30% Social Security Benefit would be entitled on Revised Basic Pay Scales, 2011 with effect from 1.7.2011 in terms of Para XIII(i)(b) of Contract Appointment Policy 2004 (Annex-A). Similar clarification was issued vide letter dated 9.3.2016 (Annex-B).
3. In view of the above, your view point contained in Para 4 of your above referred memo is not confirmed which is against our clarifications supra. The matter may be resolved in light of above clarifications.
