Subject: Sanction of Advance Increments
Please refer to your memo No.PR-C/Adv.Inc/Vol.IX/CD-1492 dated 25.5.2007 on the subject noted above
2. It is clarified that those officers/officials who acquired the higher qualification prior to 1.12.2001 are entitled to get the benefit of advance increments if otherwise eligible under the policy. However, if any sanction is contrary to the policy of Finance Department and has been issued by the Administrative Department due to over- sight of rules/policy or inadvertently and is in the knowledge of Accountant General Punjab or any other ambiguity that may be brought in the knowledge of the Finance Department for advice/clarification.
