Subject: Restoration of Commuted Portion of Pension

| 1. | Para 1 of notification states that pension of the pensioners retired on or before 30.06.2001 is to be re-fixed. It may be clarified that pensioners retired after 30.06.2001 are entitled for the benefit or not. | It is clarified that only the pensioners retired on or before 30.06.2001 are entitled for the said benefit. |
| 2. | It may be clarified that whether arrears are to be paid in monthly installments or otherwise i.e. Quarterly, Half yearly or annual installments. | Arrears are to be paid in monthly installments. However, details in this regard would be followed once the period of said payment is agreed by Honorable High Court. |
| 3. | Para 2 does not cover the pensioners retired from 01.07.1993 to 30.06.1994. It may be clarified that notification is to be implemented w.e.f. 01.07.2015 or after decision of Apex court. | The said notification is implemented to the extent of re-fixation of pension of the pensioners mentioned at serial number above w.e.f. 01.07.2015 through an undertaking in term of para-3 of the said notification. |
