Conveyance Allowance who are using Transport Pool or Residing in Residential Colonies dt 15.10.2011

Subject: Residential Colonies
I am directed to refer to Para 10 of this Department’s notification No. FD.PC.2-1/2011 dated 11.07.2011 and to state that a question has arisen whether the Conveyance Allowance would be admissible to those officers who have not been sanctioned official vehicle and are availing vehicles of the transport pool or those residing in residential colonies situated within work premises are entitled to Conveyance Allowance or otherwise.
2. It is clarified that the officers who have not been sanctioned official vehicle and availing vehicles of the transport pool are entitled to Conveyance Allowance subject to the condition that they do not use these vehicles for traveling from house to office and vice versa as Conveyance Allowance is allowed for traveling from house to office and vice versa.
3. It is further clarified that the employees who are residing in the residential colonies situated within work premises are not entitled to the facility of Conveyance Allowance.
