Subject: Pension to Disabled Son
Kindly refer to your letter bearing No. IT(FD)(ESTT-11)3-23/2015(MZG). dated 08-03-2021, on the subject noted above.
The case has been examined and reply to queries is given as under:-

| i. | Whether family pension can be sanctioned on receipt of Medical Certificate by Social Welfare, Women Development Department and Bait-ul-Maal? | The certificate issued by Chairman, Assessment Board, Social Welfare & Bait-ul-Maal Department, Multan, does not serve the purpose of Rule 3.3 Note (1) of the Punjab Civil Services Pension Rules read with Finance Department’s letter bearing No. FD.SR.III-4-111/89, dated 22.07.1989 (copies enclosed). As it should be issued by the Medical Board mentioned therein. In this regard, your attention is invited towards Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department letter bearing No. SO(H&D)6-38/2017 (Invalidation), dated 08.08.2017 (copy enclosed). |
| ii. | Where one son of deceased pensioner being elder son is already drawing pension on medical certificate, can the family pension be sanctioned divided to his younger brother on receipt of medical certificate. | Family pension would be sanctioned to the children of deceased Govt. servants after receipt of the medical certificate issued by the Medical Board as constituted in Primary & Secondary Healthcare Department letter bearing No. SO(H&D)6-38/2017 (Invalidation), dated 08.08.2017 (copy enclosed), in the light of Finance Department’s circular letter bearing No. FD-SR-III-4-111-89, dated 22-07-89. |
