Clarification – Allowances Admissible to OSD Deceased Post dt 02.07.2019

Subject: OSD Deceased Post
I am directed to refer to Inspectorate General of Prisons, Punjab’s letter No. Budget/2018-19/68966 dated 19.09.2018, on the subject noted above and to enclose herewith a copy of letter U.O.No.FD.SR-1/3-12/2018 dated 25.06.2019 received from Section Officer (SR-I), Government of the Punjab, Finance Department, wherein he has advised that Conveyance Allowance, Washing Allowance and Prison Allowance would not be paid with the salary to the family of a deceased civil servant. Further action may be taken accordingly.
Will the Section Officer (R&P), Government of the Punjab, Home Department kindly refer to his letter No. SO(R&P)1-1/17 (P-IV), dated 01.10.2018, on the subject noted above?
2. The case has been examined. It is advised that Convey Allowance, Washing Allowance and Prison Allowance would not be paid with the salary to the family of a deceased civil servant. Further action may be taken accordingly.
