Subject: Mobility Allowance to Teachers
I am directed to refer to the Accountant General Punjab’s reference No.TM-1/2-3A(iv)/2007-08/CD-1624, dated 04-01-2008 on the subject noted above and to clarify the points contained in the reference as under:-
- The Mobility Allowance (at specified rates) would be admissible to all categories of School Teachers of the Punjab Government, Schools Education Department, working in the cities other than the 9 big cities where Conveyance Allowance is admissible. However, it would also be admissible to school teachers working in the areas which are outside the Municipal limits of 9 big cities but fall within these nine districts, like Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan.
- All the above-mentioned School Teachers posted/working within erstwhile Municipal limits of 9 big cities and drawing Conveyance Allowance at specified rates would not be entitled to Mobility Allowance.
- The Mobility Allowance would also be admissible to all the Teachers of Schools Education Department, working in Schools and against administrative posts including the Educators posted so if they are not in receipt of Conveyance Allowance and or otherwise covered in clause (i) above.
- The Mobility Allowance would not be admissible to such categories of employees as mentioned above during leave including L.P.R and summer vacation unless called to perform duties during summer vacation.
2. Further necessary action may kindly be taken accordingly.
