Subject: Leave Preparatory of Civil Servants
Kindly refer to your letter bearing No. No. Pension Coord/Coord with Finance-11/11M-828, dated 26.04.2022 on the subject note above.
2. The case has been examined in the light of the Punjab Civil Servants (Amendment) Act, 2021 (copy enclosed) and it is observed that the qualifying service of 25 years OR 55 years of age, whichever is later, is a pre-requisite for proceeding on pre- mature retirement. Therefore, if a Government servant is allowed LPR on attaining the age of 54 years, his retirement will be matured on attaining the age of 55 years. Therefore, he will be granted LPR on attaining the age of 54 years.
