Police Law and Order Allowance to Punjab Highway Patrolling Police dt 30.08.2022
OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Law and Order Allowance
No. HP-II/2-24/2020: In pursuance of approval of Chief Minister, Punjab, Sanction is hereby accorded to the following:
- Special Allowance, being drawn by the Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP), is abolished w.e.f. 25.07.2022.
- Police Law and Order Allowance @ equal to one initial pay of BPS-2008 sanctioned vide letter No. 13865/F-I dated 15.08.2017 is hereby granted w.e.f. 26.07.2022.
2. The above allowance will not be admissible to the following officers/ officials:
- Under suspension.
- Who have been made OSDs on the charge of inefficiency/ misconduct or indiscipline.
- Who have been directed to report to Police Lines/ Police Headquarters/ S&GAD for inefficiency/ misconduct/indiscipline on poor performance of duties
- When an officer/ official is on leave for three months or more, extraordinary leave, study leave or training (local/abroad).
- Who are not working in the Police Department
- Who are waiting for posting other than those already mentioned above.
3. The Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) shall meet the expenditure involved from existing budgetary allocation.
