Judicial and Utility Allowance to the staff of Consumer Court Anti Terrorism Court and Anti Corruption Court dt 01.06.2010

Subject: Judicial and Utility Allowance
Lam directed to refer to on the subject noted above and to state that the subject matter was referred to Administrative Department i.e. Industries Department with the request to approach Finance Department to advice/guide PCPC whether the staff of Consumer Courts in Eleven Districts of the Province comes under the category of Court’s Staff of Subordinate Judiciary or otherwise.
In response, to the said letter the Industries Department vide its letter dated 14.06.2010 (Annex 1), has forwarded a copy of finance department No. FDSR.1-9-1/99(P-1) dated 27.042010(Annex 11) wherein itis mentioned that Finance Department has examined the case and observed that the Labor Courts, Anti-Corruption Courts, Anti-Terrorism Courts, Drugs Courts and “Consumer Courts” do not come under the Administrative Control of Lahore High Court. Lahore, hence, these Courts do not fall in the ambit of subordinate judiciary.
Therefore, those Consumer Courts which are in the receipt of judicial / utility allowance are subject to recovery of the same, Keeping in view the above, it is requested that complied in letter and spirit, under intimation to Punjab Consumer Protection Council (PCPC) Secretariat, Lahore.
