Subject: Grant of Next Scale to the Selection Grade Junior Clerk
Kindly refer to your letter No.PF/HM-1426, dated 12.02.2008, on the subject
2. The views of Finance Department on points required for clarification by the Accountant General’s Office are as under:

| 1. | The posts of Junior Clerks and Senior Clerks have been up-graded from BS-5 to BS-7 and BS-7 to BS-9 respectively. Whether the holders of Selection Grade Junior Clerk and Senior Clerk are entitled to up-gradation to BS-9 and B-11 respectively. | The Selection Grade holders of Junior Clerk and Senior Clerk are not entitled for further up-gradation to BS-9 and BS-11. |
| 2. | Whether the special increment granted with effect from 01.09.2007 is admissible to the selection grade holders referred to above. | The Selection Grade holders Junior Clerks and Senior Clerks are entitled for special increment allowed with effect from 01.09.2007. |
| 3. | Whether the next stage on the same stage is admissible to the employees in BS-1 to BS-4 on pay fixation after their move one scale up. | The pay fixation of employees in BS-1 to BS-4 may be made under Rule-9 of Pay Revision Rules, 1977. |
3. It is further advised to circulate these instructions to all District Accounts offices in the Punjab.
