Discharge of Pending Liabilities against unpaid Instruments dt 20.07.2018

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Discharge of Pending Liabilities

I am directed to refer to Para 2 (d) of the letter No. SO (B&E-II)13-3/2016 dated 06.07.2018 issued by the Finance Department on the subject noted wherein payments were allowed for all pending liabilities for the financial year 2017-18.

2. It is reiterated that all pending claims (development / non-development) for the previous financial year are allowed to be paid from the budget of current financial year 2018-19 under relevant DDO code/ object code.

3. It is therefore requested to clear all pending liabilities claims submitted fresh against the current budget by the Drawing & Disbursing Officers. The Accounts Officer(s) concerned must ensure the reversal of expenditure booked in the previous financial year before making payments, if any. Further, Liabilities involved in court cases must be cleared on top priority in coordination with relevant offices/ authorities.

4. It is further directed that liabilities paid in such categories must be reported to the Inspectorate on the proforma already circulated vide above referred letter on weekly basis through Email “ciotfd@punjab.gov.pk”.
