GP Fund Credit Memos with Special Seal – AG dt 02.05.2005

Subject: Credit Memos
In order to consider the simplification of the transfer of G.P. Fund balances from the main office to the District Accounts Offices and vice versa and from one District Accounts Office to another District Accounts Office etc., the Accountant General Punjab is pleased to announce, that with immediate effect, the credit memos issued from 7/09 to onward duly embossed with special seal signed by the D.A.O/A.A.O D.A.O concerned not need further verification/confirmation.
All the D.A.O’s/A.O’s working in concerned G.P. Fund sections are directed to send a list of the entire credit memos, issued during the month, to main office Fund-II section along with the recoveries, whereas in case of transfer of credit to other D.A.O’s, the list will be sent to after concerning district.
The comprehensive list at the end of each month will provide a complete record of the credit memos of the previous month with name and account number of all subscribers in a single list on a specified date. That will serve as an internal check and verification. For the credit memos issued prior to 7/09, the legacy system, already in practice, will be the same.
