Subject: Conveyance Allowance
I am directed to refer to this Department’s notification dated 11.07.2007 and subsequent letter of even number dated 15.10.2011 and to state that a question has arisen whether the officers who have been provided vehicle for official duties and touring only are entitled to Conveyance Allowance or otherwise.
- It is clarified that the Conveyance Allowance in the above said circumstances would be admissible only if the officer concerned gives a certificate in writing that the vehicle is not used for traveling from house to office and vice versa.
