Subject: Admissibility of Personal Allowance
I am directed to refer to your Memo No. DAO/CKL/ADMN/143 dated 06ⁿᵈ August, 2014 on the subject cited above and it is intimated that as per clarification issued by Finance Department vide letter No. FD. SR-II/9-214/2013 dated 02ⁿᵈ April, 2014, personal allowance is to be discontinued upon fresh appointment, promotion, retirement and posting to another cadre case. Upward mobility is a personal up-gradation which is neither a promotion nor appointment to another cadre. Hence, personal allowance will not be discontinued.
