Subject: Ad-hoc Allowance
I am directed to refer to this Department’s letter of even number dated 15.7.2010 on the subject cited above and to clarify that the terms “Existing Basic Pay and Basic Pay are the same. i.e. the pay drawn by the Government servants in the “Basic Pay Scales 2008”. However, it is further clarified that the term “Existing Basic Pay” has been used to identify the pay drawn by a civil servant as on 30.6.2010. In other words the amount of Adhoc Allowance 2010 and Medical Allowance will not increase with the increase in “Basic Pay” subsequently.
