Updation of GP Fund From Manual to SAP System
OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Updation of GP Fund
Reference is hereby made to the Monthly Review Meetings (MRMs) of the Prime Minister Performance Delivery Unit (PMDU) held in February, March and April 2025. During the aforementioned MRMs, it has been observed that a significant number of complaints pertaining to the up dation of General Provident (GP) Fund records and its associated matters were reported.
- The Competent Authority has, therefore, decided that the up dation and consolidation of General Provident (GP) Fund records must be streamlined through transitioning from manual record-keeping to the SAP-based system. This process shall, by all means, be executed in strict adherence to the principles of accuracy, transparency, and procedural integrity during transition of the data to the System for the principal as well as the interest amount. The transition to the system must not prejudice the legitimate interests of GP Fund account holders nor compromise the obligations owed to the Government.
- All concerned FAOs are hereby directed to prioritize this task and ensure its systematic completion within two months. Bulk data transitioning has to be strictly avoided for the sake of achieving compliance deadline of 25th July 2025. The task of up dation of GP Fund may be assigned to SAs by name and daily progress of each desk must be recorded. The names of assignee’s must also be conveyed to this office.
- Further after consolidating the daily progress, a fortnightly progress report, duly signed by the head of the FAO, shall be submitted to this office in this regard for perusal and review of the competent authority.
