Clarification – Upgradation of Lady Health Supervisor LHS and Lady Health Worker LHW – AG dt 10.04.2023

Subject: Upgradation of Lady Health Supervisor
Please refer to your letter No.DAO/BWP/DHAP /HM/68, dated 16.02.2023, on the above cited subject.
Attention is invited towards Para 1(i) of the Govt. of the Punjab Primary & Secondary Health care Department Notification No. So(ND)1-13/2016 dated 18.04.2018 which clearly stipulates that All posts of LHS in BS-07 have been upgraded to BS-10 w.e.f. 30.03.2018. Then the service structure of LHSs and LHWs has been described in detail i.e. 50% posts shall be kept in BS-10 and other posts shall be granted personal up-gradation i.e. 35% in BS-12 & 15% in BS-14 subject to the local formalities on the recommendation of the District Selection Committee.
As all the posts of LHSs stand upgraded from BS-07 to BS-10 so pay of all the LHSs will have to be fixed in the upgraded scale i.e. BS-10. However, further grant of higher scale according to the ratio of 50:35:15 shall be awarded by the respective District DPC/DSC after scrutiny of record i.e. seniority, minimum length of service, E&D clearance and good service record.
Lady Health Workers shall remain in the same scales however; their personal up-gradation shall also be made in BPS-5, 7 and 9 according to the ratio of 50:40:5 respectively subject to the local formalities and after scrutiny of record i.e. seniority, minimum length of service, E&D clearance and good service record.
In the light of the situation above, if the time scale personal up-gradation of the LHWs has been made by the District Selection Committee/DPC, then the case may be preceded accordingly.
