Subject: Posting of Officers
I am directed to refer to your letters No.FD.SR-V.44-9/2009 dated 01.02.2023 and 06.02.2023 on the subject cited above and to draw your attention towards S&GAD’s Notification No.SO(Admn-11)8-4/2020 dated 31.01.2022, wherein, Competent Authority has only delegated the powers of transfer / posting of officers on the encadred posts of BS-17 in South Punjab to Additional Chief Secretary, South Punjab (copy enclosed).
2. It is further informed that as per policy in vogue, S&GAD is posting those Superintendents and Private Secretaries (BS-17), born at the cadre strength of S&GAD, as Section Officers in their own pay & scale, who are otherwise eligible for promotion to the rank of PMS/BS-17, in the light of FD’s circular letters dated 16.12.2009 & 30.03.2013. However, no officer of BS-16 of S&GAD has been posted as Section Officer in his own pay & scale.
