Subject: Hiring of Vehicles
Will the Section Officer (General), Government of the Punjab, Communication & Works Department, kindly refer to the letter No.SO(E&A) (C&W/ SP)10- 3/2020, dated 31.08.2021 on the subject noted above.
2. The Administrative Department is advised that under Sr. No.3 of Punjab Delegation of Financial Power Rules, 2016, the Administrative Department has full powers to sanction expenditure against the detailed objects in the Budget Estimates.
3. The Administrative Department is further advised that there is no separate policy regarding hiring of official vehicles. However, the Administrative Department may hire vehicles from the market on a competitive basis after advertising and fulfilling PPRA Rules and strictly within the budgetary provisions allocated for the purpose during the Current Financial Year 2021-22.
