Clarification – Executive Allowance and South Punjab Re Allocation Allowance to the Officers Posted by the Administrative Secretary dt 08.05.2023
OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: Re Allocation Allowance
I am directed to refer to the letter No.IT FD (TT) 10-2/2020 dated 05.04.2023 on subject noted above.
2. Annotated reply of queries is as under:

| a) | Whether any officers/officials transferred & posted by the Administrative Department from field formation to South Punjab Secretariats in exercise of powers conferred to them vide letter No. 08.06.2021 issued by the S&GAD South Punjab, Bahawalpur are entitled for grant of Executive Allowance & South Punjab Re-Allocation Allowance or otherwise? | South Punjab Re-Allocation Allowance is admissible only to the officers/officials posted in South Punjab Secretariat by the S&GAD only as already clarified vide para-1(2) of letter dated 17.06.2021 (copy enclosed). Executive Allowance is admissible only to the officer posted by S&GAD (Service/ Admn. Wing only) in light of para-2(c) of the Notification No.FD.PR.12-7/2018 dated 27.04.2021 (copy enclosed). |
| b) | Whether the Administrative Department is empowered to make posting against the posts lying in the cadre strength of S&GAD? | It relates to S&GAD w.r.t. the posting of officers. |
| c) | Whether the act of the Administrative Department substitute its earlier order dated 12.04.2022 on 01.07.2022 in the light of the instruction contained in letter dated 08.06.2021 is entitled for Executive Allowance & South Punjab Re-Allocation Allowance or otherwise? | It relates to S&GAD w.r.t. the posting of officer. However, executive allowance and South Punjab Re-Allocation Allowance is admissible only to the officer posted by S&GAD as discussed at serial No. “a)” above. |
