Subject: Next Stage and Annual Increment on Promotion
Kindly find enclosed herewith a copy of DAO Gujrat Memo No. DAO/GRT/GAD/HM-2255 dated: 31-03-2009 which is self explanatory on the above captioned subject.
2- One increment in the same scale is admissible only when an officer / official is promoted in the same scale. In the case under reference, the officer has not been promoted but appointed in the same scale. Hence, he cannot be allowed an increment. However, increments for 01-12-1989 can be allowed because an officer has completed one year in the same stage.
3- Views mentioned in Para 2 above may please be confirmed otherwise necessary guidelines/instructions may kindly be issued.
