Subject: Inclusion of Notional Increment or PP for the Purpose of Pension Calculation
I am directed to refer to your letter No. Pension I(Coord)/CD-5985 dated 03.03.2009 and this Department’s letter of even number dated 11.4.2008,
2. The matter has been re-examined. Finance Department observes that the facility of notional increment had been extended to the civil servants who retire on, or between the 1st June and 30th November of the year vide this Department’s notification No.FD.PC.10-1/78 (Pt.ll) dated 3.1.2002. The concession is admissible w.e.f. 1.6.2000 having no retrospective effect. However, only those retiring employees would be benefited through this policy who have not completed the stages of their pay scales.
3. It is further observed that the persons, who were promoted between the 1s June and 30th November of the year from lower to higher scales and were at the maximum of pay scale, cannot avail the facility of PP or notional increment of the said year. Hence sub paras 1 & 2 of para 1 of this Department’s letter of even number dated 11.4.2008 are hereby withdrawn.
