Benefit of 2% P.A in Pension for Extra Years of Service after Completion of 30 Years 22.012.1989

Subject: Extra Years of Service
I am directed to invite a reference of this Department’s letter No.FD.SR.III-4-58/86-B, dated, 10.8.1986 on the subject noted above and to state that the Governor of Punjab has been pleased to decide that the benefit at 2% gross pension for each extra year of service beyond 30 years qualifying service subject to maximum of 10% of gross pension will also be admissible to those pensioners who retired before 1.7.1986. The increase in pension on this account will be admissible from 1.7.1989 and no arrears will be payable.
2. The existing rules and orders on the subject shall be deemed to have been modified to the extent indicated above. Necessary amendments in the rules will be issued in due course.
