Subject: PhD Qualification Allowance
I am directed to refer to the subject noted above and to state that it has come into the notice of the Government of the Punjab that a frivolous bogus notification of even number dated 5th December, 2010 has been issued wherein the rate of PhD/B.Sc. Allowance has been stated to be increased from Rs 5000 to Rs 10,000/- to equalize these rates and enhance them for language scholars to level equal to the natural and social sciences scholars i.e. Rs.10,000/- for PhD and Rs.5000/- for MPhil19.11.2006.
2. In this regard it is necessary to clarify for information of all concerned that the existing dates of Se Ph O/D, SC Allowance i.e. Rs 5000/- per month sanctioned vide letter of even number 15.11.2005 Science & Technology Allowance Rs.10.000 per month sanctioned vide letter to FD SRL dated 22.01.2000 are still intact and no change in this regard has been taken place.
